PROFILE SUMMARY

Dr. Khitab Gul has an academic background of M.Sc. in Biotechnology from University of Karachi, Karachi. He obtained his PhD degree in the subject of Molecular Biology from University of the Punjab Lahore. In his doctoral work, he found pathogenic mutations of gene associated with hearing impairment. This approach helps in identification of new genes essential for hearing process. After completion of his doctorate, he went to USA for post-doc at University of Cincinnati to gain further expertise in his field. His recent research interests include investigation of molecular basis of rare genetic diseases in Pakistani population. He has 05 research publications to his credit with an overall impact factor of 23.4.
