PROFILE SUMMARY

Dr. Muhammad Meraj is a renowned economist who has completed his doctorate (Ph.D.) from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), Japan. He finished his MAS/ M.Phil. from Applied Economic Research Centre (AERC), Karachi, Pakistan, MA (Economics), M.B.A (Finance) and MA (Islamic History) from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. After his Doctorate from Japan, he joined the Department of Economics, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science, and Technology, Karachi Pakistan as an Assistant Professor (Economics). Presently he has been serving to Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), Karachi, Pakistan for last sixteen months and so. He is an active member of research community in Pakistan and awarded the status of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan’s approved Ph.D. Supervisor. Also, he is a member of Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science, and Connecting Asia Research Community, Malaysia. He has published a number of research papers and participated in many international research conferences. His areas of expertise are Poverty Alleviation, Community-Capacity Building, Economic Development, Micro Finance, Monetary policy, International Trade, and Business Unit Efficiency.
