PROFILE SUMMARY

As a continuous learner in the domains of Finance and Economics, I have completed my doctoral studies in Economic Sciences (specifically Financial Economics) from France in 2016 and started working as Research Assistant there. Afterwards since April 2017 I am serving in Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (Karachi, Pakistan). I not only have academic experience but also professional experience working in a banking sector for almost 4 years. Since, professional world is different from the academic one, so my experience in both domains enabled to broaden my horizon to better understand the theoretical and practical functioning of finance markets /financial world. As far as research interests are concerned, I am mainly interested in evaluating the effects of financial crisis episodes especially regarding the volatility in spreads of non-financial firms’ (in addition to sovereign and financial) debt. As, we know that financial crises provide an opportunity to the academics and researchers to better understand and enhance the knowledge of how economic agents react during these difficult times, my research work contributes in this domain of financial economics.
