Dr. Tahir Islam (PhD USTC, China)
Dr. Tahir Islam has ten years of diversified work experience in both academics and the corporate sector. He is a Ph.D.in Business Administration (Majors: Marketing) from School of Management (AACSB and AMBA Accredited), University of Science and Technology of China (Ranked 89th in the world as per QS World University ranking, 2020.https://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/world-universityrankings/2020. He did a Master’s in Marketing from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi, in 2011, and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Hailey College of Commerce in 2009. Furthermore, he holds a Post-Doctorate from the School of Economics and Management, Tongji University, Shanghai, China. Presently, Dr. Tahir is working with Management School, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Pakistan. He has also worked with top universities in Pakistan, such as COMSATS University, Islamabad, and the Government College University of Faisalabad. He has also worked with First International Ltd. in Islamabad, Pakistan. He has a keen research interest. His areas of interest include Digital Marketing, Social Commerce, Consumer Behavior, Psychology, Sustainability, and Sustainable Consumption. He has also presented his research work at different international conferences in UK, USA, UAE, and Thailand. Dr. Tahir has also published his research work in AJG listed research journals such as Information Technology & People, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Studies, Telematics and Informatics, Young Consumers, Personnel Review, British Food Journal, and others. He has been involved in the department’s administrative affairs, i.e., Director of Graduate Studies, Head of Department, Executive MBA Senior Coordinator, Research Cluster Head, and School Examination Committee Head. He has also successfully supervised BBA, MBA, and MS final year research projects. He has also served as an external examiner for MS thesis last defense in different universities in Pakistan.
