Mr. Hasan Javid (MBA LUMS, Pakistan)


Mr. Hasan Javid completed his MBA in Marketing from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in 1993. He worked for several years in various industries including textiles (Marketing Executive in Rupafab (Pvt.) Ltd), tobacco (Pakistan Tobacco Company where he worked on well known brands like John Player Gold Leaf and Benson & Hedges as Brand Executive, beverages (Assistant General Manager in Haidry Beverages (Pvt.) Ltd) and financial services (General Manager Marketing, Eastern Capital Ltd.)
His responsibilities included formulating business and marketing plans in Eastern Capital. He helped develop and market a mobile trading platform and an Automated Trading System for Eastern Capital. In Pakistan Tobacco, he launched the first consumer and trade promotions for John Player Gold Lead and Benson & Hedges. In addition, he developed a restaurant merchandising strategy for these brands in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Later on he discharged his responsibilities as Research Manager. These included conducting large scale annual household surveys for the company as well as market research monitoring of all consumer and trade promotions launched by the company). Mr. Hasan Javid has been in Academia for over 10 years. He has taught a large variety of marketing and management subjects.
